Following a fantastic holiday in Australia in December 2023, I decided to write a lively orchestral overture consisting of an eclectic mix of sea shanties and Aboriginal inspired music. The vibrancy of Perth with its brilliant daylight inspired me to write a dazzlingly orchestrated five minute work that I hope captures the spirit of the place. It is scored for: 2+1 222:4231 3 perc.
